Stage III Art Blog

Welcome to Stage III Art

I look forward to an exciting year of art with your children! Class Art  and The Art of Reading have just begun, and we are off to a great start. Throughout the year, I will post news from our art studio as well as art news from our area.

A central theme in art this year is:  What is design?

 Class Art First Years

Our art process begins with an examination of our faces in self-portrait mirrors. Drawing from direct observation, we pay close attention to the details and proportions of our features. This requires much focus and critical thinking. Envisioning the ways we want to tell our stories and present ourselves, we will later explore our choices of color and backgrounds. Every artist has a unique approach and artistic gifts. This diversity is encouraged and celebrated!
